Miss Pigtails!

I have to say, one of the best thing I like about having a little girl is pigtails! They are just so stinkin' cute :o) Here she is giving us a big grin and then working on a puzzle in her "famous" squat (notice that she is balanced with her bum off the floor!).

Is it warm enough??

Zachary has been bugging me every day for about 2 weeks to go play outside. It was finally warm enough to melt most of the snow on our deck, even though it was still cold outside, we bundled him up and out he went! He had so much fun, riding his scooter around on the deck. I can't wait until it is really warm enough to let both Zach & Sydnie go outside to play.

Happy Birthday Zachary Michael

Zachary celebrated his 3rd birthday today with a little cake after a family dinner...a larger family party to follow next weekend. Here's the birthday boy blowing out his candles and then licking the frosting off them!

Cousins playdate picture

My Mom took this picture last Friday when we had Zach & Sydnie's cousins over for a play date. This is (L to R) Danielle, Devon & Zachary playing in Zach's Thomas tent, birds eye view through the top of the tent. Unfortunately we couldn't get Sydnie to stay in the tent long enough to get her in the picture, too!

Mama Sydnie

Our little girl is turning into a little Mama. She is so nurturing to her baby dolls, pushing them in the stroller, holding them, giving them a bottle and binky and giving lots of kisses. Here are some fun pictures of her in Mama mode. I especially love the one where she has the baby in a sling I made for her doll and she is wearing her baby while having a snack!

Play date with our cousins

Today Nana brought cousins Devon (9 yrs.) and Danielle (4 yrs.) to play with Zachary & Sydnie. Their parents are going to Chicago for a wedding so they are staying the weekend with Nana and Poppop. We had sooo much fun, we played in our Thomas the Tank tent, and played with all the things in our dress up box, played Go Fish and Memory, and had lunch together, too! We can't wait for them to come back and play with us again. Pictures to come....

Thank you for praying...

Poppop came home from the hospital today after 2 procedures to check his heart for clots and then to convert his heart back to normal sinus rhythm. He said he was feeling much better, although a little tired, I can only imagine how tired I'd be if my heart was running at at rate of 135 beats/minute for 3+ days...it'd be like do a 3 day marathon. Can you imagine? We are thankful that he is on the mend and pray that his heart would "behave" from now on.

Pray for Poppop

Please pray for our Poppop, he is in the hospital. Here's our Mama's explanation of what's going on and about the "boo-boos" in his heart" :
After getting a great report about my Dad's heart last week, basically his cardiologist said his heart was all better and didn't need to see him again (Praise God!), he is now at to U of M hospital with his heart in arrhythmia and accelerated heart rate (has been doing this since Sunday- not coincidentally the day he stood up in his church and shared the testimony that his heart was healed). I believe with all my heart that this is an attack on his faith. I did pray over the phone with him yesterday as they drove to the ER and this morning we all went to visit him- Zach & Sydnie really lifted his spirit! Please join me in praying that his faith would increase and that he & my Mom would stand against Satan's attacks on my Dad's body and heart right now. Also that the Doc's would have the mind of Christ and the Lord's wisdom in treating him.

They are the best of friends..

Zach & Sydnie love having each other to play with. They play "ring around the rosie", hold hands and walk around together, share toys, and steal toys when Mom's not looking, make a messy play room and hide in a make-shift "tent" together. They also love to play tickle monster, peek-a-boo, share bath time, play "bum getter" (our family friendly game of tag, but you have to hide your bum and run!) and as you can see in the picture above they also love to sit together and watch a little TV- I believe it was Zach's choice of "Go Diego Go"!
