Trip to IKEA

Today we made a spur of the moment trip to IKEA, in Plymouth/Canton. We went in search of a "big boy" bed for Zach. Yes, Zach is still in his crib and he honestly loves it, but alas we know that he is WAY overdue to move out of the crib. Zach tried ALL of the beds out, and pouted when we told him he could not climb up to test out the top bunks on the bunk beds, although Daddy did boost him up to try out just a few. Both Zach & Sydnie enjoyed running free and tearing into the little play area with tot tables, chalk easles, and some pretty fun IKEA toys.

We did buy 2 more stools to go with the kids table and stools we already have, so we have spots for 2 more friends to sit when they come to play, but we are still in limbo about a potential bed. The one we are looking at, from a little-ones perspective, is really cool. It a sort of bunk style, but the bottom matress actually lays on the floor with just a frame around it while the top matress has a frame that you can attach a canopy to that makes it like a little tent! If you ask Zach, he says he just wants a firetruck bed, how he came up with that only God knows :) And he also tells us that when he gets his big boy bed he will go on the big boy potty. If that's the case, I don't know what we are waiting for!
